Chateau La Chaire Hotel

Château La Chaire is a small, luxurious and traditional hotel which started life as a private home to a passionate gardener in the 19th century. The 8 1/2 acres of land are beautiful and the house itself has evolved over time to become a tastefully and thoroughly modernised classic hotel.

From the ground floor, private terraces lead to the garden and surrounding woodland. On the first floor balconies extend the feeling of space, light and luxury.

Château La Chaire is popular amongst locals who value its stunning settings and its fantastic afternoon teas.

Location

This is a place where life stories and history interact - don’t miss learning about Samuel Curtis, the original settler at La Chaire, and discovering the last traces of the exotic botanical garden…

Chateau La Chaire is nestled on the side of Rozel harbour on the east coast of Jersey, mainly hidden from view by its surrounding woodland, only a couple of minutes’ walk to the tiny and picturesque harbour village.

The north eastern coast of Jersey is steep and rugged, and offers an infinity of nooks and crannies to explore - from the rocks leading down to La Coupe bay to walking the beautiful Green Lanes around the fields. Spectacular views to France and Les Ecrehous will often surprise.

Apparently although we had paid for a...

The hotel was beautiful, the reception was second to none and the room was good. However, the menu for dinner was very limited and as somebody who eats vegan food, there was nothing. I opted for the vegetarian meal on the first night, but it remained the same every night so we only ate in on that...

The staff were excellent, very helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfasts were super and the evening meals were, we felt, good value for money. The building was old style - grand and elegant but I was disappointed with the room we were allocated. It was on the 2nd floor and although...

Possibly the best hotel my partner and I have stayed in. It's a beautiful quiet spot; the room was very comfortable and as is the rest of the hotel, immaculately kept and maintained.

Three choices to dine: in the oak-panelled dining room, (ideal for an intimate candle-lit evening), or less...
