The fort dates from 1830 and sits on a site that was first militarised in the 16th century.

Accommodation
La Crete Fort comprises of a double or twin bedroom, a single bunkroom and spacious shower room and large lounge/diner with sofa bed. A flight of stone steps will take you up to a large granite room with a vaulted ceiling with access to a secluded private garden terrace sheltered by granite walls.
Tableware, cutlery, glasses, cups for five guests, basic cooking utensils and cookware are all provided.
Bed linen and bathroom towels are provided.
La Crete Fort is not on the mains water but is supplied by borehole. It is therefore advisable to drink bottled water during your stay. The water supply is suitable for cooking and bathing.
Accessibility
Please note that La Crete Fort does not have a lift.
Location
La Crete Fort is situated in a quiet and tranquil location in the middle of Jersey's north coast.
There are breath-taking views from this fort over the sea to Guernsey, Sark and the coast of France. A secluded beach is close by, popular with local bathers and surfers. Wonderful sunsets can be enjoyed while sitting out in the walled garden.
